THE SOUTH SHORE

August 27, 2016

Since I was a child, my sister and I have always dreamed of owning houses next door to one another, on the south shore of Boston. We grew up going to the beaches of Scituate and Cohasset, jumping off the rocks of Hingham and paddling in the rivers of Marshfield. Well we are fortunate to have a family house on the south shore of Boston, where we summer each year. This sparked the first fire in our eyes. With my sister and I each moving back from NYC at the same time, we were both ready for a change. See, I knew I wanted to make my way back to JP where I once lived happily, and she wanted a home of her own, to own! We both are renting at the moment, but she has been on the hot pursuit of finding the perfect property since 08’!

We took the time this summer to indulge ourselves in the suburban Boston lifestyle, finding the newest boutiques and bars surrounding the metropolitan area. Our first stop, Hingham. This town has everything to offer. Small town charm, little “big” commercial influence, a whole foods, open bars on the weekends, a seaside community, and a 30 minute commute to boston. We hit the trail running. Attending open houses and dropping in on the local J.P.Mclaughlin, hitting the original Talbets and having a refreshing cocktail and lunch, at The Corner Stop Eatery.

Hingham is the ideal spot to settle down for a Bostonian millennial. With so much to offer, ranging from commerce to the metro and ferry! One would be so lucky to find themselves signing the papers for a property in Hingham, and I wish them the best.
