MILLENNIAL PINK BOUDOIR

November 10, 2017

After months of unpacking and styling our new home, I finally finished our country cozy bedroom. I went for a millennial pink, inspired by trending hygge imagery! Here I saved several if not dozens of cottage inspired rooms on Instagram. I have found the new “Save To” feature to be a godsend! It truly has helped keep my ideas and inspiration organized.

I have always tried to reuse what we have. We love our vintage iron headboard and dresser that we got at thrift stores up in Vermont. So I balanced out the timeless pieces with a modern clothing rack from Urban Outfitters. This little guy has been my favorite purchase of the year! It helps keep my weekly wears organized and off my floor! The powder-coated metal finish is durable and I love the touch of warmth with the natural wood rod! For a touch of texture, I framed one of my favorite Schumacher Wallpapers. This little bit of detail gave the small room depth while adding a smidge of glam.

Those who live in apartments know how important space management is. Over the past 10 years, I have found many creative ways to utilize as much space as possible. After much research I settled upon buying a shoe cabinet from Ikea, this little guys has a maximum capacity to hold 24 pairs of shoes! And its white finished shaker style look gives it a modern feel.
